Easter Egg Hunt...

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday with Jadie, it was her first real Easter Egg hunt. The whole week she phone the Easter Bunny and asked him to bring her a Golden Bunny. So on Sunday morning when we woke up, her window was open and the Bunny left her a golden Bunny (and a few others) on her pillow. We also think the Bunny might have snoozed a bit on her bed, because you could see the bed was not tidy anymore! :-) , we think he was tired, its a big job delivering all those eggs to all the children.

Then Ouma Caroline phoned and told us to come there, because the she is sure they saw a Bunny in the garden early in the morning, and they wondered what he did. So when we got there, Jade got a basket and the hunt began.....

She LOVED it...it is so precious to experience all these wonderful things with her!

Happy Easter

We truly hope all of you had a wonderful and blessed Easter with family and friends.
I received this email just before Easter and I would like to share it with everyone:



Markus 15:37-39

Daarna het Jesus hard uitgeroep en die laaste asem uitgeblaas. Die voorhangsel in die tempel het van bo tot onder middeldeur geskeur. Toe die offisier, wat reg voor Jesus gestaan het, Hom die laaste asem so sien uitblaas het, het hy gesê: “Hierdie man was werklik die Seun van God”.

God het ons so lief dat hy Jesus sy Seun aarde toe gestuur het om op daardie Vrydag vir my en vir jou sondes te sterf.
So het ons nou die ewige lewe uit genade ontvang. Jy kan dit nie meer verdien nie!
Jesus is die enigste weg na die Vader toe, Hy is die weg, die waarheid en die lewe. (Joh14:6)
Kom ons erken vandag ons sonde aan God en gee toe dat ons eintlik sy oordeel verdien.
As jy in Jesus glo het God deur sy genade jou vrygespreek van die vonnis vir sonde.

Dankie Jesus dat U vir my sondes gesterf het op daardie Vrydag middag.

I love riding my bicycle...

Jade is so good at riding her bicycle and we are so proud of her.

It's a huge milestone in a child's life to be able to ride a bicycle by themselves, it gives you such a sense of accomplishment.

We are SOOOOOOO proud of you Jade and we hope you love your bike and may you have many wonderful adventures with it! Love you always and forever!

I was a good girl at school and my WONDERFUL teacher gave me stickers....

Ouch Report

Firstly, I know I go on and on about Jade's new school, but it really is AMAZING! The teachers are Angels sent straight from Heaven.

Last night Jade came home, smiling from ear to ear saying: "Mommy, my teacher was so happy to see me today" and then again later the evening: "My teacher loves me and she give me hugs" It warms my heart knowing that she is so happy and we thank God for sending these wonderful people on our path, we are truly blessed.

Also look at the cute "Ouch Report" we got. Jade got a splinter in her finger and this was the letter found in her bag(note it is addressed to Jade's Mommy and Daddy, and then as per Jade's instructions to Oumie and Brian too):

I think it is just the cutest thing ever....like I said this school is run by Angels!

Jade's Prayer....

Jade's prayer last night: "Thank you for my food, Thank you for my Mommy, Thank you for my Daddy, Thank you for my Piston and Thank you for my Kita. Amen"

Little Village Christian School 18.04.2011

We found a great school for Jade to go to and today was her first day. We were so worried about her. But she was such a brave little girl.

Last night she helped me pack her lunch box for her, she is very excited that she can take a lunch box to school. Then this morning, both me and William took her to her new school.

She was a bit clingy in the morning, then we left. Her teacher phoned me at about 11:00 and said Jade was doing great. She had a few minutes of tears when we left at first, but quickly made a friend AND to top it all, they had a puppet show at the school and she says she thinks that sold Jade!

I am so happy that she is happy! We prayed so hard to find a place where she will be happy and our hearts can be at ease. I know God sent this place on our paths and we are looking forward to a long and happy journey with the AMAZING staff at LITTLE VILLAGE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL.

3D - Rio

Went to our first 3d Movie, was so cool!! (I really think William and I enjoyed it just as much as the kids...lol)

Jade sat still most of the movie and also kept her glasses on, which I didn't think would happen. Then she asked william to take her to the toilet and after that she asked to go sit with Lissa, Lissa gave her a bottle of tea and she fell asleep.

Thank you Tracy, Rikus, Melissa, Hannah and Noa, we had a great time with you, we must REALLY do it again...in 3d...lol LOVE YOU ALL LOTS!!!
