Week 27 Scan

Hi everyone,

Just want to give you an update....or actually a history on little Jade!

History in short:

  • Found out we were pregant: 25 March 2008
  • Felt her move the first time: Was in Week 16 - not sure of the exact date as at first it felt like bubbles then after a few days I realized its her introducing herself to mommy.
  • Found out she is a girl: 19 June 2008
  • William felt her move: 2 July 2008 @ 21:49, we were lying in bed when she introduced herself to her father
  • Due date: 27 November 2007
  • Name: Jade Catherine Alexander - We both liked Jade from the beginning and Catherine is her Great Grans name from mommy's side and also her Aunt from Daddy's side - Her due date is on William's Aunt - Cathy's Birthday so we thought it would be nice to give her the name Catherine after these two amazing women in myself and Williams life!

Now for some new news. We went for our check up yesterday, Dr. Markram is very happy with her. Since her last visit she has picked up almost 500g, which makes her now a whole 1kg!! Yesterday she was 26weeks and 5 days old, but he said she measured like like a baby that is 27weeks and 4 days old - which is great news, because it means that she is very healthy!

We also booked my bed for the Hospital yesterday, that was very exciting, it makes everything feels so real! I must admit I am a bit scared to go to Hospital as this will be my first visit ever to a hospital, but I am sure it will all be okay! lol

This morning, we went for our 3D sonar at Medforum. Daddy and Ouma Nettie went with, they were both very excited to see her. The placenta was a bit in the way, but we could still see her nose, eyes and chin very nicely and her chubby cheeks! lol. It looks like she has mommy's nose and her daddy's chin! It really is amazing, we are so fortunate!

Our next visit to Dr. Markram is on the 25th of September and the hospital gave us a free 4D scan which is on the 17th of September then Granny Irene will go with to see her!

We all have our own time when we think she will be born, the doctor said her due date is the 27th, but we can be ready anytime 10 weeks from now. Her daddy thinks she will be born on his birthday 29 October, Grizelda thinks the 14th of November, Ouma Nettie agrees with William end October/beginning November and I think only by the 21st of November (or maybe I am wishing for then) Either way we all cant wait to meet her and hold her and love her!

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day and week, will write soon again!

The Wedding - 11 July 2008

WOW what an amazing day!!!

To say it was like a Fairytale and a dream come true is THE biggest understatement in life! I can not begin to describe all the emotions and happiness of the day!! Maybe its also got to do with the fact that I married the best man in the world and when I made the promise to him infront of all our friends and family and God, there was not a second of doubt in my mind that we are meant to be together!!

I was so nervous walking down the isle, when the wedding march started to play it felt like I was really dreaming....the walk down the isle was the most overwhelming moment in my life - but it was so amazing! When I saw William I just focused on him, nothing else mattered, because this was the moment I have been waiting for all my life - my dream really did come true!!! I am so lucky!

The Minister (Ds. Chris Lotter) gave the most amazing service and the message was so special, we will all treasure it in our hearts forever!

When he actually came to the part where he said I now pronounce you husband and wife - a sense of belonging came over me and it was just so amazing! And obviously the "You may kiss your bride" part was also GREAT! My first kiss from my HUSBAND! lol lol

It was probably the coldest day of the year....but I couldnt feel a thing other then excitement! :-)

After the service the Minister prayed for us and then we signed the registry...which was very cool! Signing Kleb for the last time!

I am still getting use to signing Alexander! Hey I am still getting use to being Mrs. Alexander! lol lol!

After that we had drinks with all the guests then William, myself, the bridesmaids (Grizelda, Lalie and Lee-Ann), with the bestmen (Nick, Ian and Brian) went with the photographer to go take photo's - he took so many - I cant wait to see them. Will also post some as soon as we get them! :-)

Then it was time to go back to the guest, they were already all in the venue (which looked so pretty - all the fairylights, really did make it look and feel even more fairytale like!) As we walked in EVERYTHING by MICHEAL BUBLE played! Its a very special song for us! :-) All the guest stood up when we walked in, it felt like we were celebrities! lol lol

The speeches was so nice and special too! Karin was first to make a toast on My father and My stepmom Tannie Jenelle! Then it was Niel's turn for a toast on My new mom and Dad, Williams parents! Ian then did a toast on my mom, after that Grizelda did a toast on William and myself! Then William said all his thank you's and he did a toast on me! It was the most special thing anyone has ever said to me - I was so overwhelmed with emotions that he litterally brought tears to my eyes...only tears of joy! He quoted a part out of Jack Johnson's new song Angel:

I have an angel,She doesn’t wear any wings,She wears a heart that can melt my own,She wears a smile that makes me want to sing,She gives me everything I could wish for,She gives me kisses on the lips just for coming home! Tash I love you with all my heart, and cant wait to spend the rest of my life with you, my best friend and soul mate, Can we all raise our glasses to Natasha Alexander.

There are so many special moments that I will carry with me for the rest of my life that happened that day, Williams words will be one of those many unforgetable memories that will stay in my heart forever.

We opened the dance floor with Jack Johnson's - Better together! Because thats how it is with us - it doesnt matter how good or how bad things are going - its ALWAYS BETTER WHEN WE ARE TOGETHER!
When we danced it felt like we were in actual fact floating and that there was not another person on this world except for me and him!!

The rest of the evening was just as amazing! The people who shared it with us! The music, the food, the presence! Everything was beyond perfect! I couldnt have dreamed up a more magical wedding as a little girl then this!

Myself and William would like to thank EVERYONE again who made this day unforgettable!
