The Boots and the fur...

Soooo funny...

Grizelda and myself have this thing (I'm sure most of you have picked it up), if anyones as much as mentions "Boots" or "Fur" we start singing the Flo rida song, Low...The boots and Fur...

Now Jade's picked up on this.
Also, Jade LOVES tap shoes...she doesnt have tap shoes, but with Happy Feet and You Got to Dance's Adam, she always pretends she has tap shoes.

Then on saturday, at Grizelda's house, all of a sudden she starts singing:

"The Tap shoes and the Fur"

It was PRICELESS!

Parenthood

I  received this beautiful message from Karen...and it stirred something so deep inside, its so special and so true.

Parenthood is about raising and celebrating the child you have,

Not the child you thought you would have.

It’s about understanding that they are exactly the person they are supposed to be.

And that, if you’re lucky, they just might be the teacher who turns you

Into the person you are suppose to be!

The winter is here...

The winter is here...it's soooo cold in the mornings and evening, even the last 2 days were cold.  Just wanted to share these cute photo's of Jadie...beanie and scarf....bring it on winter!!!

I love you Jade...you warm my heart instantly on these cold winter days.

Two Horses

Received this not so long ago by a friend on bbm...just had to share, it's so beautiful!!

Just up the road from my home is a field,
with two horses in it.
From a distance, each horse looks like
any other horse.
But if you stop your car, or you walking by,
you will notice something quite amazing...

Looking into the eyes of one horse will
disclose that he is blind.
His owner has chosen not to have him put down,
but has made a good home for him.

This alone is amazing.
If you stand nearby and listen,
you will hear the sound of a bell.
Looking around for the source of the sound,
you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field.

Attached to the horse's harlter is a small bell.
It lets the blind friend know where the other
horse is, so he can follow.

As you stand and watch these two friends,
you'll see that the horse with the bell is
always checking on the blind horse,
adn the blind horse will listen for the bell and
then slowely walk to where the other horse is,
trusting that he will not be led astray.

When the horse with the bell returns to
the shelter of the barn each evening,
it stops occasionally and looks back,
making sure that the blind friend isn't too
far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owner of these two horses,
God does not throw us away just because
we are not perfect or because we have
problems or challenges.

He watches over us and even brings
other into our lives,
to help us when we are in need...

Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided
by the little ringing bell of those who God
places in our lives.
Other times we are the guide horse,
helping others to find their way...

Good friends are like that...
You may not always see them,
but you know they there.

Pleaseb listen for my bell and I'll listen
for yours, and remember...

Be kinder than necessary -
Everyone you meet is fighting some
kind of battle.

Gelukkige Moeders dag eerste, vir die heel beste Mamma in die wereld! Ek is onbeskyflik lief vir Mamma, dankie vir alles wat Mamma vir ons doen, die oneindig liefde en bystand. Mag ek en Jade veraltyd so na aanmekaar wees soos wat ek en Mamma is...dis my grootste droom, om vir Jade 'n Ma te kan wees soos wat ek het en dat sy oor my kan voel soos ek oor Mamma voel! Mamma is 'n Engel van bo vir al ons kinders...en kleinkinders!

Gelukkige Moedersdag ook vir my ander Mamma's, Tannie Jenelle en Mom Irene! Julle beteken so baie vir my en ek is so lief vir julle, en so geseend om julle in ons lewens te he! Elkeen van julle het 'n besondere spesiale plekke in my hart - dankie vir al die liefde en bystand deur elke dag...al die jare!

My Oumie Caroline...eks sooooooooooo lief vir Ouma!!!! Geen woorde om dit te beskryf nie, maar ek weet Ouma weet...ons het so band wat ons net weet! Dankie vir alles Ouma, ek lief Ouma tot die maan en terug!!

Dan aan al die ander Mamma's: HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!! Hoop julle was almal lekker bederf!!

Aan my Jadie: You make every day Mothers Day...thank you for loving me, it's an honour to be your Mommy! You make me want to be the best person I can be, because you deserve only the best. I thank God for blessing me with such an amazing little girl and when I look at you, my heart explodes with love and pride. I love you forever Jade...you are my life!

Also, Wills...thank you for spoiling me so much on Mothers Day...and every day!! Love you very much and I really appreciate it all!

Okay...THIS was a PLEASANT suprise!! I've never been a huge fan...liked his music, always nice to hear his songs on the radio...but don't own a CD or anything. I simply agreed to go with Brian, because he always goes with to the Parlotones.

But WOW!!! This guy is AMAZING!!! One of the BEST shows I've ever seen. He is so funny, music is unbelievable...and he sings with so much passion. I was so so happy I went with..and I can now say, without a doubt...FAN!!!

Camping in Pilansberg 4 - 6 May 2012

Although I am not a big camper...not my thing...lol! Jadie loved it and it was awesome to experience to whole camping thing with her. Sleeping in a tent (with 2 bears snoring...AKA William & Brian). Went on a nice game drive saturday, we saw Giraffes & Zebra's up close, which Jade loved!! Braai in the evenings, chatting around the fire in the open. Also on Saturday there was a Supermoon, the moon was 16% larger than usually, which was really nice.

Best part...the wonderful people, was nice to spend time with everyone.

Like I said, not a big camper...but will definitely do it again.

Parlotones...21 April 2012

Was soooooooo cool...as always....nothing else expected! The new band that opens for them The Ice Project, loving their music too! Got their CD and the whole band signed it. The Parlotones also signed Angie's T-shirt...YEAH!!! Next concert will get Jadie's signed too!!!

Again...if you havent gone to watch a Parlotones show....GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
