A Prayer for my Husband

I thank You for this day for it is the day You have made and I shall rejoice and be glad in it. Lord, I praise You for Your Word which shall not return void, but shall go forth and accomplish Your purpose and prosper in the thing for which You sent it. (Is. 55:11)

Lord, forgive me for accepting mediocrity in areas of my life. I ask You to reveal to me the areas where I need to press in and come up higher to excellence so that I may be fulfilled.

Lord, I plead that William [as a person of ripe character & clear conviction stand firm and mature in spiritual growth & convinced & fully assured in everything will by You--O God. (Col 4:12). I pray William will set his mind on things above, not on earthly things (Col. 3:2). I pray William will love me, his wife [be affectionate & sympathetic with me] and not be harsh or bitter or resentful toward me (Col 3:19).

I pray William & I will not provoke our children or irritate or harass them so they won't become discouraged & sullen & morose & feel inferior & frustrated (Col 3:21). I pray William & I will seek first Your kingdom & Your righteousness & all those things will be given to us. And that we not worry about tomorrow. (Matt 6:33-34).

Lord, I ask for You to fill William & I with the knowledge of Your will through all spiritual wisdom & understanding. I pray that we will live a life worthy of You Lord & please You in every way; bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of You O God, being strengthened with all power according to Your glorious might so that we may have great endurance & patience and joyfully giving thanks to You Lord who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. (Col 1:9-13)

Lord I pray that the eyes of William & my heart may be enlightened in order that we may know the hope to which You have called us, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and Your incomparably great power for us who believe. (Eph. 1:18-19)

Lord, I pray that William will live with me his wife & treat me with respect as the weaker partner & as heir with him as the gracious gift of life so that nothing will hinder his prayers (1Peter3:7). I pray that William & I will live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate & humble & not repay evil with evil or insult for insult, but with blessing because we were called so we may inherit a blessing. (1 Peter 3:8-9)

Lord I pray William & I will let no unwholesome talk come out of our mouths, but only that which is helpful for building each other up according to our needs that it may benefit those who listen. And may not grieve the Holy Spirit of God for whom we were sealed for the day of redemption. That we get rid of all bitterness, rage, & anger, brawling, & slander, along with every malice. That we will be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ forgave us and that we will be imitators of God and live a life of love. (Eph. 4:29 and 5:2)

I praise You Lord & Your will be done!

O Here U is so getrou...Van die dag van my geboorte kyk U na my.
Alles wat ek het, het ek van U ontvang, en dit is ontelbaar! Ek sien, hoor,
kan dink en redeneer, gesels en lag. En as daar 'n traan is, is U
daar om te troos.

U is Groot en Magtig.
Here, U is my lewe, U sorg vir my. U het die aarde gemaak en alles
daarop en 'n Pragtige deel is vir my afgemeet...Dankie Vader. Elke dag is vol van U Genade; en dit is alles onverdiend.

Liewe Jesus...

Jade het haar eerste gebedjie geleer die week. Sy se dit elke aand voor ons gaan slaap en daar is nie woorde om te beskryf hoe oulik dit is nie!

"Liewe Jesus ek is klein, maak my hartjie skoon en rein. Amen"

Jadie, Mamma is so onbeskryflik lief jou en ek is so trots op jou! Jy is kosbaar en onvervangbaar en die beste geskenk wat ek nog ooit ontvang het! Jy is nog so klein en jou gebedjie is maar net die begin van 'n wonderlike verhouding saam met Liewe Jesus en Mamma gaan jou elke dag vertel en wys hoe wonderlik Hy is en hoe lief Hy ons, sy kinders, het, en dat jy nooit alleen sal wees nie, want Liewe Jesus is altyd by jou, Hy leef in jou hartjie!

Is sy nie die mooiste blomme meisie in die wereld nie?

Ek is soooooo trots dat Liewe Jesus my gekies het om Jade se mamma te wees!!!

Ian en Lalie, baie dankie vir ‘n wonderlike dag en dankie dat ons die spesiale daggie saam met julle kon deel het!

Lal, welkom by die FAMILIE!!! (wat praat ek jy is al lankal deel van die familie…lollol!) Ons is soooooo lief vir jou! Jy was ‘n PRAGTIGE bruid, ek dink jy het Ian se asem letterlik weg geslaan toe jy in die kerk stap! 

Ianna, ek is so trots op jou! Geen woorde kan beskryf hoe lief ek jou het nie, jy is my boetie, maar ook een van my heel beste vriende en jy hou ‘n plekkie in my hart wat niemand anders kan vul nie! En ek is so bly jy het vir Lalie want ek weet sy sal jou lief he en oppas vir die res van jou lewe en jy vir haar! 

Big words for a little girl...

Jade LOVES animals, she can name almost every animal and make the sounds they make.

But the CUTEST thing she says is :

Hippopotamus and Rhinoceros

Its such "big" words for a little "girl". I just want to eat her up when she says it.

The other day she was naughty and I told her to go to her room and sit there until I come talk to her. I then left her there for a bit and then went to her and explained to her if she is naughty she must sit in her room until I come fetch her, but if she listens to me, she doesn’t have to go to her room. So a little while after that, she did the exact same thing and I ask her: “What did I say?” she then replies “Gaan kamer toe” and she walks to the room herself, when she was out of sight I just hear her say “Stupid” – obviously thinking I can not hear her! Then last night William pretended to have a “chat” with me because I was naughty, then Jade jumped in the middle and said: “Mamma kamer toe, gaan sit in kamer”
It was so cute….and I had to go sit in the room until she and Daddy came to talk to me!

William bought her the Barnyard DVD the weekend, she was in her element!!! When he took it in the shop, we could barely take it from her just to pay for it, “MOO DVD, MOO DVD” and she held on to it all the way home, when she got home, she says “Put Put” while standing at the DVD player. When William put it one, she watched it in awe – I must say William enjoyed it just as much!

Last night when we were lying in bed trying to go to sleep, I though she was asleep and then she turned around and put her hand on my cheek and said: “Lief vir jou mammie” . I literally thought my heart was going to explode!

Nothing in this world compares to the feeling you get in your heart when your child say I love you!!!

Jade, I love you so much and I will tell you everyday for the rest of my life!
